Jeff's ALS Equipment Fund

Jeff Doan was a hard working father who always made sure he had the money to support his family, weather it was working long hours or certain holidays, he always made sure we had a roof over our heads, food on the table and clean clothes on our backs.

He put so much time and effort into General Motors, 28 years to be exact. Just 2 years shy from retirement.

Jeff was diagnosed with progressive ALS March 18th. His wife being sick with cancer passed away a few short months later. 

Now that his ALS has progressed, we are realizing how much help he needs on a day to day basis with walking, talking, eating and the stairs are a huge issue. One of the big things he needs is a stairlift to get him up the stairs safely. It's very scary watcing him try and climb those stairs everyday.

The ALS assoication has a long process on helping out with these materials and only so much is covered.  His tharapist told him that shes worried with this long wait from the ALS assoication he might not even be able to use the stairlift by the time he would be able to recieve the funding from them. With progressive ALS we don't know how long he will have before having no motor skills at all. 

It would be greatly appericated if we could get some help to get him a stairlift while he still has the ability to use it to his full potential. The stairs are a huge risk and worry everyday. I don't think I would be a very good pillow if he falls down the stairs.
