Study Abroad
My sister and I were invited to study in Europe over the summer through People to People. This program will allow us to study overseas in England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. During our trip we will have opportunities to meet people, go places, and do things that people don't normally have the opportunity to do. Along with the experiences during the trip we will also be able to receive a high school social studies credit or even an elective college credit.
This trip truly means a lot to us both. We have been working very hard in school to even be invited into this program. We are both in Advanced Placement and College Preparatory classes and have cumulative grade point averages of 3.8.
I have been accepted into the People to People Student Ambassador Program once before and being a senior, this is the last year I will be able to enjoy the program. My first time in the program I traveled to England, France, and Italy. We feel that going on this trip will give us a better understanding of the world as a whole and allow us to grow as a person.
We hope to use the multi-cultural experiences to help us understand and broaden our views on world citizens; which will help us in our futures and careers.
