This page was created for the Derrig family, specifically Jason, as he fights an ongoing medical condition. Let\'s support Jason, Kasi, and their son Jaymason!

In January 2010, Jason had a lump removed from his outer-right arm.  He was diagnosed with a rare skin cancer (135 people in 18 years worldwide).  He had two more surgeries trying to get clear margins.

Earlier this summer, Jason discovered a lump under his arm. On August 2nd, they removed the golf ball size lump and the doctor said that he believed it was related to the previous skin cancer. The lump had all the doctors in this area stumped so it was sent to a specialist at Harvard. Jason was sent to an oncologist who requested that the first tissue sample be sent to Harvard for comparison. Harvard deemed everything to be the same. With a lot of discussion and research, Jason\'s case will be going before the tumor review board next week. Jason is the first to have this type of cancer travel this far. One other person had it travel to a lymph node, but it was a small pea sized tumor. They removed the surrounding lymph nodes (like you would for breast cancer patients) and that person is doing well.

The money collected will go towards medical bills and upfront costs required by the hospital.

Please keep the Derrig family in your thoughts and prayers!  Thank you for all your help and support!
