James Howard Fischer Scholarship

Our son, James, recently died in an a tragic car accident. Many of you know about his passing, and attended his Memorial service on April 2nd. James was an organ doner, and was able to save the lives of four people and give sight to a fifth. We would like to honor James and continue his heart of giving by setting up the "James Howard Fischer Scholarship for Aspiring Young Writers".  You may or may not know that James was an outstanding writer and also passionate about education and knowledge. He loved his campus and professors at SCCC where he attended as a full time student. His goal was excellence, which he achieved with his 4.0 GPA. PBA Local 285 has set up an account for this purpose, and we have $5,000 so far toward the goal of $15,000, which will enable us to create an endowed sholarship fund in James' honor. We are thankful for your heartfelt contributions toward this endeavor. I have added the link from the end of James' Memorial Service when we released paper lanterns into the night sky.
