Help with amputation expenses

Donation protected
My brother, James Crocker, 29, was born with a club foot and has lived in pain his entire life. He underwent surgery in November 2016 to correct his foot and finally live pain free. He had a soft cast on for the first 2 weeks after surgery and then the surgeon switched it to a hard cast. After having the hard cast on for two weeks James noticed  a strong odur coming from his foot. He requested that the surgeon change the cast and they discovered he had an infection that had eaten away at the flesh on his foot. He was immediately hospitalized 5 days before Christmas to get the infection under control. Luckily he was discharged on Christmas Eve so that he could spend the holidays with his family. He was on IV antibiotics 24 hours a day for 6 weeks. After the infection was finally cleared he met with a plastic surgeon. The plastic surgeon had to take a skin graft from his arm to his foot and from his thigh to his arm.  A few months later once that had healed he was still in tremendous pain and went back to see his surgeon. They then realized that they had used the wrong sized hardware in his foot and needed to completely redo the original surgery with smaller hardware.  Once he was healed from that surgery he was still in a lot of pain so today he received a second opinion from another Orthopedic Surgeon who advised him that his only option to live pain free and work for a living would be to have a below the knee amputation, which has been booked for one week from today.

Him and his wife have been struggling to take care of all of the expenses and their children (ages 3&5) with him being on disability from work for a year now, which was only supposed to be 3 months. He will continue to be on disability for another year while recovering from the amputation and going through rehabilitation. He will be in Parkwood Hospital for a few weeks to a few months and his family will need to travel from Woodstock to London to visit him.

He will need to purchase a special prosthetic so that he is able to return to work and support his family.  They have accumulated some debt during the past year trying to make ends meet and will continue to do so as he is being rehabilitated. Any help big or small is greatly appreciated.
