HELP JAMES KROHN WITH HIS RECOVERY

Donation protected
How your life can change in a blink of an eye!  On July 7th, one of our Future Energy Savers associates - James Krohn - suffered a stroke.  The 28-year old was rushed to the ICU at Sutter Eden Medical Center (Castro Valley, CA) where he underwent emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.

The stroke and resulting hemmorrhage caused severe swelling of his brain and he underwent another surgery to relieve that pressure.  The good news is that James is in the care of a nationally-recognized medical trauma team.  He was brought out of his medically-induce coma this past weekend and is beginning to recognize people including his fiancee Kay, his parents and some visitors.  That is outstanding news!  James is attempting to speak, but that will be a long process that will need the assistance of a speech therapist.

James was diagnosed with AVM (arteriovenous malformation) which is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins. It is typically found in only one in a 1000 people and is usually congenial, meaning it dates to birth. A brain AVM, which appears as a tangle of abnormal arteries and veins, can occur in any part of your brain and the cause is not clear. Unfortunately, most people with brain AVM do not know it until they experience symptoms, such as headaches or a seizure. In serious cases, the blood vessels rupture, causing bleeding in the brain (hemorrhage).

James, who lives in West Sacramento, is facing additional surgeries and procedures that come with a long and an extensive recovery process - something no 28-year old would ever expect to endure.  His Doctors stated that this process will take anywhere from six-months to two-years.  They also informed us today that he will stay in the Sutter Eden Medical Center until approximately November, before being considered for transfer to a Sacramento-area medical facility for additional rehabilitation.

To help support James through these trying times, we are asking for your generousity - but only if your heart asks you to give.  The money will be used to help with his financial
obligations and medical costs while he recovers.

And ..., most importantly, we ask for your thoughts and prayers as James goes through his long recovery process!

NOTE:  James circle of friends extends well past this post.  We ask that you share this information with others who know him.  THANK YOU!
