Jaclyn's Journey

My name is Jaclyn Shannon. I am a single mother with 3 beautiful babies, ages 5, 3, and 1 month old. My kids are my world. On June 13, 2017 I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. The biopsy they took basically made the mass angry and because if the location ( my hard palette) I can not eat and can barely drink. I've been dehydrated and in lots of pain. I was told that my blood levels were off and needed a PET SCAN to make sure the cancer hadn't spread. On July 5, 2017 I had my PET SCAN and it confirmed that it has indeed spread- to my lungs. Because it is so rare my doctors do not feel confident about any form of treatment plan other than a surgery to remove the mass in my mouth, but nothing for the disease in my lungs. This cancer has a high reoccurrence rate. My kids need their momma, and I need to be there for them. I need help raising my children throughout this process. My help comes from my mother who happens to be a paraplegic. We need a way for her to transport me and my 3 kids. I'm asking for help with good transportation. A van with a lift and hand controls so that my mother can drive us. We have researched converted vans and are asking for the cost of the van. All my other options are about 4 hours from home. I will need a vehicle that can get me there safely. Any kind of help is so appreciated, if you can't help financially please pray and share, share, share.
