Send Jack to the Duke TIP program

Hello! My name is Carla Hughes and my husband Tony and I are trying to raise money to send our 13 year old son Jackson to the Duke University TIP Program this summer. From the Summer Programs web page:
"Duke TIP’s Summer Studies Program is demanding, intense, and rewarding. Students take part in interactive, inquiry-based learning that challenges them to think critically about themselves and their world. Led by content experts, courses are equivalent to a semester-long college course or a year of high school instruction. Our high-energy classrooms encourage students to take academic risks in a supportive environment and to stretch their intellectual abilities. TIP’s active residential program is a lot like a structured version of the college experience, providing opportunities for friendship and fun."
Jackson was accepted into his first choice of programs, the Applications, Algorithms, Computers: Modern Programming classes. However, we (a high school English teacher and a studio artist) just found out we don't qualify for financial aid. Payment for the entire program is due this Friday 3/16.
Jackson should get to go to this exciting program. He works hard and it shows. At just 12 years old, he scored a 28 on the ACT college entrance exam (in the top 94% of high school seniors) and a 1260 on the PSAT. He gets straight A's on his report card, plays trumpet in his school band and in UIL Jazz Band, is an active member of the National Junior Honor Society, and has been one of the top 12 students in his class all three years of middle school. He also participates in extra curricular Academic UIL events, often bringing home first place rankings. This year, he is team captain of his school robotics team. He puts in long hours learning about and participating in activities he loves.
This $5000 covers the cost of tuition ($4300), travel expenses ($500), and GoFundMe's processing costs (estimated at $200).
