Please Help Raise Money For Women's Collegiate Athletics in The Name of Jack Warner, an Amazing Women's X-C Coach, Who Dedicated 18 yrs of His Life to The Profession!

I'm running in my FIRST EVER half marathon on April 7th!!

This past fall, after 18 years, Jack Warner retired from Coaching the Hobart and William Smith Women's Cross Country Team.

Each year, Jack honored one woman with his Coach's Award. Many amazing women, including myself (twice) have won this award.

This year at the William Smith Athletics Awards Banquet on April 23rd, the school would like to name the award after Jack and create a Women's Athletic Endowment in his name.

Shhhh...It's a SECRET!!!

This will only happen if the Athletic department can raise $10,000 for the endowment.

Jack was an incredible and caring coach. Anyone who ran for him will remember the packets of motivation articles he'd send all summer leading up to August training and the "word of the meet" he'd have for each race!

In honor of Jack and in hopes of him being recognized for his amazing contribution to women's athletics... I am dusting off my running shoes and running my first official half marathon on April 7th.

Your contribution would mean so much to me, women's athletics and a fantastic coach who touched the lives of many runners.

All For 3 Amazing Reasons:

1. My D3 X-C team is the reason I was successful my freshman year in college. At the time I didn't realize it, but I was sooooo lucky to have an incredible freshman year in school because of Cross Country.

Coach Jack Warner, the girls on my team and the guys on the men's team, made the transition seamless. I fit in and felt loved immediately.

That year I went on to run my best 5k of all time - 19:51 BABY! And, win the Coaches Award for the first time, and complete my first semester with a 4.0 GPA:who does that, really?

I did it because of my Coach Jack Warner, my friends on the team, and my family.

2. Women's D3 athletics at HWS changed my life and deserves an endowment for all future women to have the same opportunity :and MORE.

3.  Coach Jack Warner - If I didn't express it enough in my first reason, Jack was the perfect coach. He may not have been the loudest coach, or the most energetic coach but he was the perfect coach for the job.  He has a HUGE heart and you felt it everyday. He would send us snail mail copies of articles all summer to keep us motivated to run. And, he would have a "word of the race". It would be a word for us to focus on during our X-C Meets:.to help us through the grueling moments.

Beyond that, he allowed us to enjoy college. We didn't have to be perfect athletes. He wanted us to be balanced individuals. For that I am eternally grateful. It is the reason I still love to run today.

Why do I share this with YOU?

Because I would love for you to donate to my Half Marathon and help create an endowment for Women's Athletics at HWS in Coach Jack Warner's name.

Thank you so much for your support!

PS.....If you are in the area or want to come out for the race, I would LOVE some company! It's the Great Bay Half Marathon in Newmarket NH. Please come join or come for the day and cheer! The race starts at 11am.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
