please help isla get a 'new ear!'

hey all :) for those of you who don't know, isla was born with an abnormal inner ear anatomy that lead to a profound hearing loss in her right ear, and an absent auditory nerve on her left side made her a cochlear implant candidate for only her right ear. we feel so blessed to have been fortunate enough for isla to receive one cochlear implant in November of 2012. immediately after surgery, we were told that the outlook for a response upon activation was bleak, after a series of unexpected discoveries during surgery.  we didn't give up hope and her responses at the activation brought us to tears. a new world had been opened for her- and here we are, just over one year later and she continues to surprise us. recently, cochlear made available the nucleus 6 processor. after reading reviews and hearing from fellow parents of children who have upgraded to this model- i desperately wanted isla to have these same opportunities, to hear a clearer sound, the newest technology which may allow her to go further than we ever imagined. isla has a solid language base in asl, and although this will always be her first language, her potential for speech is growing as she learns to make the sounds she is hearing. as a mom, i dreamed of hearing her say mama for the first time... a dream that i thought wouldn't come true, but she has said it! she can speak approximately 20-30 words now and i am so grateful. as any parent does, i want the best for my children, i want isla to have the same opportunity as her peers, so i'm reaching out for help, to upgrade isla's 'ear' from her current processor to the new Nuclues 6.  Any amount helps! i've been overwhelmed with support so far and appreciate every bit.
