Isabel's Acro Teaching Journey

Dearest Friends and Family,

As most of you know, I am crazy about this thing called AcroYoga and incredibly passionate about teaching.

My dream is to combine the two and to qualify as an Acro teacher - spreading my love for this wonderful practice far and wide, connecting people, building trust and community and flying HIGH! :)

As Acro is quite new to South Africa, all teacher trainings offered are overseas, mostly in the US, which means I will have to pay for flight and actual training costs in US dollars. With the current exchange rate working against the South African Rand unfortunately, the financial aspect of such a training poses an even bigger challenge.

Having said that, challenges are there to be overcome :) "“ which is why I am approaching all of you, family and friends, for support to help me realize my dream of becoming and Acro teacher and attending the teacher training in the US!

Last November, I completed my initial Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga teacher training in Cape Town and a few days ago, I filed my application for an Acro teacher training outside of Washington DC in June 2014. I have met all the prerequisites, handed in my application, including some AcroYoga photos of myself and a short video, and got accepted on Monday!

I am over the moon to be given this chance to attend such a fantastic training with some of the top acrobats and AcroYogis in the community. In order to make this training a reality, I am in need of your help though! The total amount of €3,000 / $4,000 / R45,000 covers flight, accommodation, food and tuition costs. I am extremely grateful for whatever you may be able to contribute; every donation, no matter how big or small, will bring me one step closer to realizing my dream.

If you are based in Germany, around Europe or South Africa and would prefer to make a donation directly into my German or South African bank account, just drop me an email and I will pass on my banking details. The donation can still be listed here and will count towards the total.
