It is with great sadness to announce the tragic and sudden passing of my 8 month old cousin, Asher Elliott de Guzman. On November 2nd, 2017, Asher was admitted to Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and diagnosed with Streptococcus Pneumoniae. Throughout the course of the night, this strain of meningitis was aggressively strong and quickly affected our little man.
Asher's death was an unimaginable tragedy.
He brought so much happiness and love to Ethan, Lily and Mark, to our family, our friends and even passerbys on the street. We are so thankful to have had Asher in our life no matter how short the time was. He meant so much to us and touched all those that knew him.
As all our family and friends make sense of Asher's death, all your support could further the meaning of Asher's life by helping us raise funds for CHEO and other children's hospitals to help with resources and research. Doing this will help Asher touch others and possibly help save the lives of even those that didn't know him - helping his happiness continue.
