Jack & Wendy Crawshaw Funeral Services

December 14th 2020, Jack Crawshaw was hospitalized due to a COVID-19 diagnosis. After only two days in the hospital, Jack was transferred to a skilled nursing facility as his symptoms and condition were not life threatening. Meanwhile back home Jack’s beloved wife of over four decades Wendy (my aunt) also battling with COVID-19 was hospitalized December 19th. The communication between Jack and Wendy was nonexistent since they were both deaf and did not have access to audio/visual devices, making this that much more painful and tragic. On the evening of December 20th Jack suffered a heart attack and passed away at 9:30 pm. Wendy is notified of her husband Jack’s passing while in her very own health battle. As several days had gone by, the grieving and agony remained for Wendy who finds herself still hospitalized through Christmas which she spent alone. Her children receiving the news of her health condition improving began planning her return home. In what seemed like an instant, life threatening complications arose and on New Years Eve Wendy is rushed into emergency surgery however she passed away at 11:30 pm.

Jack and Wendy are survived by their three children and seven grandchildren.
Both Jack and Wendy were deeply devoted members to the Fullerton Deaf branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Jack was part of the priesthood, and Wendy heavily involved in the relief society caring for others. Jack and Wendy were the type of people that wouldn’t hesitate when they saw, heard, or felt someone in need. No task too small nor too immense as an inseparable pair, anything was attainable.

As we all mourn the passing of Jack and Wendy, the funeral expenses for the two is unexpected. In an effort to honor the glorious and cheerful lives, and to say a proper farewell. We are currently asking for any contributions that would help make the celebration of Jack and Wendy life possible. Our goal for both Jack and Wendy’s services is that of $10,000 with the deadline being January 20th, 2021. Thank you so much, please consider contributing. Any amount will truly be greatly appreciated by our family especially during this difficult time.
