On January 20, 2015, Erin Mezitis suddenly and unexpectedly passed away at the young age of 33 due to complications from Influenza A.
Erin leaves behind her beautiful 2 year old daughter, Lucy, and fiancé, James.
Since Lucy was born in July 2012, The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto became their second home after having to spend several months there with Lucy who was born with Meningitis and a Congenital Heart Defect. For the past 2.5 years, countless hours have been spent in hospital with their sick daughter. To have something like this happen so suddenly and unexpectedly to Erin, was never contemplated. Unfortunately James will now be left to pick up the pieces and provide for Lucy both medically and financially on his own, so this is where your help comes in.
Any donation you are able to make will assist James in paying for Erin's funeral expenses, travel expenses associated with Lucy's ongoing medical appointments at SickKids and keeping their family home.
This family has been through so much over the past 2.5 years with Lucy's health and now to have to suffer the loss of a beautiful and loving mother and fiancée, is beyond words.
