Hurricane Harvey Fosters

In the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, many families have been forced from their homes and are having to give up their furry family members as they piece their lives back together. With local shelters bursting at the seams, fosters and volunteers have reached out asking, “What happens to these pets?”

All About Animals is jumping to the rescue with a special Hurricane Heroes AZ task force – but we need your help.

We’re going to aid homeless Hurricane Harvey pets by accepting dogs and cats from the affected areas into our rescue and transporting them from Texas to home-based fosters here in Arizona.

How can you help?

We are looking for Arizona-based fosters willing to take in a dog or cat.  You can start the process by filling out our foster application, found here

If you have questions about what it means to be a foster, feel free to reach out to me directly as I will be acting as our Hurricane Heroes AZ coordinator.

100% of all donations made to toward the Hurricane Heroes AZ fosters go toward helping cats and dogs displaced due to Hurricane Harvey.  By donating to this fund, you are directly sponsoring a foster cat or dog, their medical care, and transportation expenses into the rescue.

You can also donate food and toys to our hurricane fosters on our Amazon wishlist.

Do you know someone driving back from Texas with an empty car?  For anyone willing to help with transportation, please have them reach out to me directly so that I can coordinate.

Why are we doing this?

For anyone having to rehome their pets due to Hurricane Harvey’s aftermath, the last thing that they should have to worry about is where their pets will end up or fear what may happen to them.  Our rescue is foster based, that means all our fosters are cared for in family homes. Anyone that was affected by Hurricane Harvey has already had their world turned upside down and we want to give them the peace of mind that their pets won’t end up in shelter situations or on E-lists.

Who are we?

All About Animals Rescue is incorporated in Arizona and has received 501(c)3 designation from the IRS. Our EIN is 27-5410456.

We are a no-kill rescue that works with dogs and cats in Maricopa County and beyond. The majority of our animals are from the local euthanasia lists as we recognize that these animals are in the most dire condition.

About me

My name is Brittany and I have been a volunteer/foster with All About Animals since 2013.

In 2012, I was living in NJ when Hurricane Sandy hit and watched as 8 ft. of water surrounded the building I was living in.  I saw how it devastated my community in its aftermath and how chaotic and disorganized natural disaster relief can be. When I heard about Hurricane Harvey, I knew I had to help to pay it forward for all of the angels of Weehawken, NJ that came to our aid after Hurricane Sandy.
