In June of 2012 Sherri was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a type of agressive cancer that is more likely to reoccur than any other type. Unfortunatley, hers did in September 2013.
In January 2014 Sherri and Brian started traveling from Dallas to Houston to the MD Anderson Cancer Center, which is one of the leading cancer research centers in the country.
Conventional chemo has not worked the way they had hoped so far. Because of that, Sherri was referred and accepted into MD Anderson's Clinical Trial program for her treatments. This is where MD Anderson really excels.
Between gas back and forth from Dallas to Houston and lodging while in Houston (sometimes for long periods of time), the expenses are mounting and it's more stress than they need right now.
We know we can never help them 100% but every little bit counts, and they will appreciate this more than you will ever know.
We are holding a benefit on May 17th in Sherri's hometown of Plattsmouth Nebraska. We know many will not be able to attend, yet still would like to help out.
