GIVE GINGER TAM HOPE IN FIGHTING CANCER!
Hello everyone,
I’ve created this site to support our dear friend Ginger Tam, a gifted songstress who has been a professional singer for the past 35 years.
Six years ago, Ginger was diagnosed with Stage Four lung cancer. She is a single mom whose 14-year-old daughter Amelia loves to sing, just like her Mom! The really great news is that Ginger has seen excellent success from targeted cancer treatments, including several clinical trials. However, additional treatment is now required.
First, a big thank you to all who have supported Ginger in the past.
The need: Ginger and Amelia urgently need your help. Ginger incurred heavy debt from the last clinical trial that was not completely funded for medically related costs and for travel to Sacramento and lodging.
Ginger is facing mounting debt and is also about to start a new regime of cancer treatment.
She's not able to work, and has devoted herself to raising Amelia and advocating for more research funding for lung cancer. Last December, Ginger was invited to travel to the World Lung Conference in Vienna where she met with some of the world's leading lung cancer researchers. (See link below)
She travels to Washington D.C. to advocate with legislators for much-needed research, working with the Lung Cancer Alliance. Ginger also started a cancer support ministry at her church, where she sings as a member of the worship team.
“I feel I give people hope with my story -- even the doctors seem happier!” Ginger says. “The most important thing to me is making sure I’m here for my daughter in every way, each and every day.”
