Hey there! My name is Jordan Jones, though you might know me as The Anxious Princess. While my posts normally emphasize book reviews and giveaways, today I appeal to you not as a critic, but as a supporter.
My father is raising money for Play for a Cure, a Pro/Am tournament which raises money for cancer research. I thought I'd ask my blog followers and friends to consider a small contribution.
Cancer is a cause dear to the Jones family; whether it be a family member suffering or a stranger in the city, we are always ready to lend a hand (and some money when we can!).
100% of the proceeds in this Go Fund Me campaign will go directly to my father, who is responsible for taking donations and sending them in.
Play for a Cure is a charity event in which fundraising teams will draft former pro NHL players to play alongside them. To name a few players, Adam Graves, Dennis Maruk, Marty McSorley, and Todd Warriner have signed on. The goal is to raise $100,000 -- all of which will be donated to the Cancer Research Collaboration Fund.
This is my first time using Go Fund Me, but not my first time raising funds and awareness. This past summer for the third year in a row the Joneses joined Ride Don't Hide, a 20k bike ride to raise awareness for mental health.
