Hi, I'm Danny Burnett.  I was born with spina bifida and have used a wheelchair for most of my 31 years.  My family has always enjoyed doing things together, so we have had a wheelchair accessible van for over 20 years.  This has allowed me, my younger sister and my parents to travel together, to visit extended family and go on lots of adventures, which used to include my sledge hockey games all over Ontario.
Just recently, my Dad had his leg amputated because of diabetes, so now he uses a wheelchair, too.  Our van doesn't have a 2nd set of tie-downs for this new setup, so it is very difficult to go anywhere together now.  After consulting with a van conversion company and our regular mechanic, it's not worth making more changes to our old van.  We are now in desparate need of a new or gently used wheelchair accesible van with 2 tie-down spots.  We started looking for financial help by asking numerous charities and service clubs but have been turned down for various reasons.  My parents are cashing in an RSP to help buy this new van, but we still need lots of help with the purchase.
Please share my request, and give if you can.  Anything is appreciated.  Thanks for taking time to consider helping me and my family reach our "together goal".
