The Hermantown boys’ basketball program is proud of the hard work, dedication, and commitment that our student-athletes consistently demonstrate both on and off the court. This has been carried out in both academic and athletic success over the years, and we fully expect to continue the Hawk tradition. One of our goals is to provide many opportunities for growth for the young men involved in our program. These experiences will not only help them during the season, but throughout their lifetime as well.
Each year we look at various fundraisers to help supplement our athletic budget. This year we have decided to participate in a Community Pledge Drive. We believe that it would be in the best interest of our student-athletes to show our appreciation for the support by giving back to our community. Therefore, each young man will donate a minimum of 25 hours of community service during this basketball season. We feel that pledging 25 hours of community service, on top of their studies and basketball, will better the greater Hermantown area and be more meaningful for our boys. Our team members will benefit by seeing firsthand the value of hard work and helping out the people of our community. A few of the things our team will be doing: tutoring/mentoring students in the elementary school, bagging food at Second Harvest Food Bank, aiding in youth practices/tournaments, writing Christmas/Holiday cards to veterans overseas and the elderly, a team shopping trip to buy presents for a local family, and much more!
Every year our teams are in need of several items to keep our programs where they should be, respected and competitive. The boys’ basketball program is raising funds to help cover the costs of an fourth coach for our staff, over-night stays in hotels, equipment, team apparel, and other non-budgeted items. In order to continue our competitive ways and the success that Hermantown has been building towards, we need your financial support. We appreciate your financial contributions to the Hermantown High School boys’ basketball program. Help our players reach their individual goal of $375 each!
