Henry's Medical Treatment Fund

The Volden family needs your help. Their beautiful 1-year-old boy Henry is battling a serious MRSA infection in his ears and has not responded to antibiotics. MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) is an infection that is resistant to most antibiotics, but Henry has an even more difficult case that will not go away with a drug used to fight MRSA called Bactrum. The infection has been resistant to every round of this antibiotic and has provided little to no relief. Henry’s ears still continue to bleed and ooze.
Henry has gone through three surgeries in a four-month period to remove infected tissue and place special tubes to fight the infection. However, after each surgery, the infection has returned faster and more aggressively than the last.
The Volden’s have been struggling with the high cost of Henry’s medical care including $50 copays, prescriptions as much as $300 out of pocket, and a high health insurance deductible. As a result of Henry's infection, they have also had to take off of work from their full time jobs or find alternative options for childcare when Henry was contagious. They are bracing themselves for 2015, which will likely be even more costly, as treatment options become more aggressive and without any guaranties. If the specialists don’t find a treatment that could work, the infection could spread to his blood or brain.
Please find it in your heart to give what you can to help—every little bit helps.
His family thanks you and would request that you pray as well. Please help raise their spirits. God Bless.
