Guys, I really need help.

Hey everyone.  My name is Michael Woods.  I'm sure some of you know be by some sort of nickname, or something - especially if we know eachother from the wacky world of pro wrestling.  Either way, hi!

I like to think that I'm a generally happy person.  I have a great fiancée, who I'm planning to marry next year.  A great family who I love.  And some of the best friends a guy could have.  And I truly wish this was something I could tackle on my own, but I cannot.  I am in dire need of help.

Over the last month or so - things have gone very wrong for me.  In October - while visiting the US - I started having pains in my upper right chest.  They started out dull, but eventually became very sharp and worrisome - so we made our way to the hospital.  After being admitted to the ER - and undergoing tons of testing, and ultra sounds, and all that good stuff - the pain ended up being my first ever gallbladder attack. 

I was prescribed pain medication, and I was sent home to Canada to speak to my family doctor about having my gallbladder removed.  Something I will be doing soon.  Just this week, I received a bill for $4,383.84 US. 

It's been about a month since that hospital visit - and I'm back in Canada.  A little back tracking - in 2013, I suffered for months from a staph infection that just would not go away.  It was resistant to certain antibiotics, which lead it to come back multiple times - and wreak absolute havoc on my system.  Eventually, after 4 bouts with the infection - doctors managed to beat it, and I was going to be okay.  I wasn't feeling well last week, and my fiancee insisted that we go to a doctor.  I agreed, but recognizing symptoms from the past - opted for the ER, having an idea of what was wrong with me.  Turns out I was correct, and the infection has somehow returned - years later - in the exact same spot. 

What this means is, just like in 2013, ordered bed rest.  Several weeks off work, with lost wages during the holiday season.  Expensive prescriptions for antibiotics, which tear up my insides.  And more.  I have been sore and sick as hell from the antibiotics for days now, and have an ultrasound tomorrow to determine just how bad the infection is this time around.

Any money contributed to this GoFundMe will be used to …

a) Pay off my massive hospital bill.
 
b) Cover the costs of prescriptions, etc.  The antibiotics they have me on are not cheap.  In 2013, I spent over $500 on multiple cycles.  I don't feel like it'll be that bad this time around.
 
c) Help cover some of my time off work.  In 2013, I spent weeks laid up with no income.  Back then I had a house I paid half rent for, and I fell way behind.  This time around, I have rent and bills to pay - and need to try to stay on top.

As someone who is currently saving for a wedding, in a single income family (my fiancee was laid off from her job of 13 years on 11/11) - to have this medical stuff pile up, and keep me from working - I'd be forever grateful for any help I can get.  As they say, every dollar counts.  Becky and I've always given to GoFundMe campaigns in the past, seeing this platform as something made to help people get through tough times.  Hopefully it'll help us get through mine.
