Great news! In early August, my amazing sister Norma had a much awaited and life saving liver transplant. However her required outpatient stay in Toronto after the surgery while recovering has been a financial burden.  We don't know how much longer she will need to stay in Toronto, but we know she will need to travel to Toronto regularly for followup appointments at the transplant clinic, even after she goes home. While medical expenses are covered, her living and travel expenses are not. 

The funds that were raised last spring (thanks to the generosity of family and friends) have already subsidized travel and living expenses for her and a needed companion, but more funding is needed now.

Please don't feel obligated to donate but if you can help spread the word I'd much appreciate it. Throughout her life, Norma has been the kind of person who has helped so many others. It's impossible for her to ask for help which is why I want to do the asking one last time.

We are all so thankful that she is on the winning side of this disease ("voiton puolella"). She just needs a little help in the recovery process.
