Milagro Medical/Recovery Fund

We are very unhappy to inform you that Milagro passed away in February. We would have posted sooner, but it is very painful even now to write this.
She was rescued from the dogs and despite healing from those wounds it would be Parvo that took her from us. We registered her under "Puppy Champ" as we guessed it was a boy, but changed it to Milagro ("Miracle") when we learned her gender. She earned this name by surviving a completely severed left jugular artery, fractured left orbital ridge, many other gashes and trauma.
A few days later, she was diagnosed with Parvo.
Milagro (or "Puppy Champ") put up a great fight, but her previous compromised state. the attack, and the Parvo took its toll. She had no more blood vessels for an IV to give her needed medication and her sugars were dropping even though she was still eating. We were told it was time to let her go and she was euthanised. She passed surrounded by love, in Virginia's arms. This was a case that even the wonderful people at Vergi Hospital were affected and saddened by. Everyone was invested in her and all felt her loss.
The great care came at a great cost, of over $11,000 in charges and this has hit our finances with a devastating blow. Vergi Hospital has sworn to give an additional $600+ in refunds and from the H.O.P.E. fund, as well as paid for Milagro's creamation and urn, which has been wonderful kindness.
We are a one income family currently and appreciate any help you can give. We thank you also for all of the deep heartfelt words of love during these difficult times.
God Bless.
