Help support The McFarlan Family

Donation protected
Update 4: (11/1/2016) With permission from the McFarlan family, we would like to update all of you. It is with extremely heavy hearts and so much sadness, that we tell you Andy’s battle ended yesterday morning, October 31st. The family knows that even though his time on this earth has ended, they will see those blue eyes and his infectious smile again one day.
Again on behalf of this family, thank you! Thank you for the love, visits, kind words, hugs, memories, cards, meals and donations. They truly feel surrounded by the best of this community and beyond. Please continue to show them support, as the road for them to travel is still long. Also, please remember to allow this family to decide what information becomes public knowledge, especially out of respect for them and due to the very sensitive nature of this situation.

Update 3: (10/21/16) We would like to update everyone on behalf of the McFarlan family. With the advice and expertise of the wonderful doctors and medical staff, the family has now moved Andy into hospice. This obviously has been extremely difficult on them, but they have definitely felt the love of our community.
From Andy and Dana’s boys: We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and thoughts for our dad. Unfortunately, he will remain in hospice in order to keep him comfortable so that he may join our Lord in a tree stand or fishing boat of his dreams.
Please continue to lift this family up in prayer and support them through this page.

*Update 2 (10/12/16): With permission from the family,
Continued prayers are for Andy to wake up and to become stronger so he can breathe on his own. Recently, he has been able to show some signs of breathing on his own, but continues to need a ventilator. The family is thankful and grateful for this wonderful community that we live in and the support and love that you've shown them. Please keep prayers and your support coming their way.

*Update 1: We are overwhelmed with the generosity of our community. We want to thank everyone for their donations, prayers, and support for the family. These donations are really going to help with food, gas, time off of work, and especially the overwhelming medical expenses. Please keep sharing this link so others will know how to help this deserving family.

As many Caledonia residents know, last week one of our own was a victim of a road rage incident along Whitneyville Ave in Alto, Mi.
William (Andy) McFarlan was on way home when this terrible attack happened. He is still in critical condition and could use all of our thoughts and prayers.
Andy, along with his wife Dana, are long time residents of Caledonia and Dana is an employee of Caledonia Community Schools. Our hope is to help alleviate some of the monetary burden their family faces so their time and energy can be focused on their loved one. All money donated will go to Dana and her family.
