Kyle E. Barnette Sr.'s  Warrior Fund - Battle vs Cancer

Kyle was diagnosed with esophogeal cancer last week. This disease is currently located on the lower part of his esophagas, where it connects to the stomach, and a lymph node in the abdomen.  A pet scan is scheduled which will identify any othe cancer cells in his body.

An aggresive initial plan of attack is called for, with chemo and radiation, five days a week, for a period of five weeks, in Gulfport, MS.  If the tumor reacts favorably to the treatment, a consult for surgery at Ochsner's Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana to remove the tumor will be the next step in the process.

Kyle has health insurance, but the copays, and extra costs for tests, and procedures has drained his savings, and being retired, there is no other revenue stream.  Cancer treatment, and all the medicines it requires are tremendously expensive, as may already know.  The need is urgent.

Kyle is a 62 year old U.S. Navy veteran, and served as a U.S. Customs Special Agent, Supervisory Special Agent, and then as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge and Deputy Special Agent in Charge with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, later known as Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

His duty stations were in Mobile, Alabama, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, in Brunswick, Georgia, Yuma, Nogales, Tucson, and Phoenix, Arizona, and he retired in New Orleans, Louisiana as the Deputy Special Agent in Charge over a five state area.

Kyle also worked as the Director, Tactical Intelligence Center, for HSI/Investigations, at the Stennis Space Center after retirement.

Kyle is a member of the International Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, which is the largest law enforcement motorcycle club in the world.  Raising money for charity, to include battered women's shelters, orphanages, wounded warriors, and law enforcement officers injured in the line of duty are the primary goals of the club, as well as promoting police in the best possible light, in the motorcycle community.

Member of Bad Bottom Hunting Club, in Vancleve, MS and founder of the Mississippi Blood Trailing Network (MBTN) which is was the first free big game recovery service, operated on social media (Facebook)  in the country. Membership over 15, 000.  Similar organizations followed MBTN's lead in LA, TN, AL, FL, and AR, which has lead to thousands of wounded deer being recovered and utilized by the hunters instead of coyotes and buzzards.

Father of three, stepfather to one,  grandfather of eight, and husband to Judy Barnette, the love of his life.  Kyle and Judy are primary caregivers for Kyle's 89 year old father, and 85 year old stepmom, who live on the same property in Mississippi. Father of Zeus, 90 pound German Shepherd Dog who turns three in January 2018,  and who demands all of Kyle & Judy's attention, and keeps them exercised.

Previous medical issues of note:

Motorcycle wreck with injury,  April 2012.(Rear tire had a catostophic failure at 60 MPH.)

Stroke in February 2014 (Valentines Day)

Neck surgery in March 2017

Back surgery in July of 2017

If you can not afford to donate to this cause, and if you can, he and his family would especially appreciate all the prayers you can offer in his time of need.  God listens to our prayers, and we all thank you sincerely.

God bless everyone and thank you.
