Help JoAnn During Cancer Treatments

This past September, our Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, JoAnn Pierce, was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma , an incurable but treatable form of plasma cell cancer, a type of white blood cell normally responsible for producing antibodies. Like many forms of cancer, Multiple Myeloma is associated with bone pain, anemia, extreme fatigue and other neurological symptoms that affect everyday life.

In October, JoAnn began to undergo her first treatments of chemotherapy, as recommended by her amazing team at Mass General. Although difficult, and at times, quite scary, JoAnn is taking chemotherapy head on, always pushing forward, especially for her children, Josh and Christie. Cancer is a battle, and as a family, they will fight it. 

As JoAnn solely focuses on her health and well being, this fund is being set up to help alleviate the impending costs associated with her medical care, as well as to help ease the worries of taking care of a home, as winter approaches, bills, groceries, and everyday needs that are becoming difficult due to being out of work.
