Help Friends of NW Houston Rebuild

I've added Shastar and Shamquia. These 2 were stranded in their house since Sunday morning. They had 12 people in the condo and were calling for help. Help finally came Monday around 4 when they were floated out on air mattresses. The family was split and Shastars kids are at a different shelter. She doesn't know where, just that they're safe. I cried hearing their story as Shastar was crying that she lost everything she worked for. They said it was a deep disturbing feeling to walk down your stairs and see everything floating. "Your tv, your couch, all your furniture. It was bad. Something you don't want to see."
i felt very inspired to meet these 2 today and extend a helping hand through this GoFundMe. 

When this is is over I will be talking with each of the families.

My name is Molly Skousen. I live in Tomball just north of Cypress, the northwest region of Houston. My friends in northwest Harris County are suffering from this disaster. I'd like to raise some money for my friends without flood insurance who's livelihoods are now gone. Please help with as little or as much as you can. I am trying to check on as many friends as I can to let them know about this fund raiser that will help provide relief. Most of them are without power and their phones dead so they just call out hoping boats will cone by and save them before it's too late. It heartbreaking! My husband is out doing rescues right now. and sent this.

I'm sorry Guys. This go fund me was really quick. I'm in such a rush trying to put this together I just put out as much as I could in a hurry. I'm working to refine it and help you all see the bigger picture. I only have a little time though. All I can say is your donations bring the deepest level of gratitude from me! You can't even imagine! I'm sitting in my kitchen crying for my friends who've lost everything! And I feel so helpless except to offer babysitting because I'm home with the kids while my husbands out making rescues on the boat. I feel like this is the only way I can take it one step further.
