Help Cynthia Stay in the USA

Donation protected
Thank you for visiting Cynthia's fundraiser for her Permanent Residency! This means so much to us.

Cynthia is a recipient of the DACA program which allows her to be in the country without the fear of being deported. DACA is a program that allows individuals who entered the country as minors and remained in it undocumented. This program provides an administrative relief from deportation allowing the recipients to continue their lives in the only country they know, United States of America.

Cynthia was brought to the US at the age of 4yo. She does not remember too much from her native country, Mexico, for the exception of her dolls. Cynthia grew up in Albuquerque, NM where she attended all her school years including Bible College. At age 28 in 2013, she received her first approval for the DACA program.  This offered some relief from the fear of deportation as she was already raising her two children Jazlynn and Caleb. Not only was she growing as a mother but also as the founder and executive director of Free Ever After International (www.freeeverafter.org), a nonprofit organization that combats sex trafficking in Tucson, AZ, and mentors survivors of sexual exploitation.

Unfortunately, the DACA program was terminated by President Trump during September 2017. Thankfully a month later after the termination of the program, Cynthia received an approval letter for her "green card" application which had already been submitted by her US Citizen husband, Alex. However the fees are high and the stakes are too. Because she was brought to the US under an undocumented status, Cynthia runs the risk of a separation from her family up to 10 years, perhaps more.

This is where we need your help. After several sessions with her attorney, a path has been traced to help Cynthia request a pardon to waive the 10-year bar of separation. There are several fees and forms that must be sumitted in order to achieve this:

Department of State fee $445.00
Form I-601A fee: $630.00
Biometrics fee: $85.00
Physical fee: $250.00
Attorney fee: $1,700.00
Administration fee: $200.00
Travel cost: $650
Fundraising fees: $550

The National Visa Center (NVC) has requested for us to act promptly on this matter. We would love to raise these funds by the end of the year, and with your help, we know this is possible! Not only will Cynthia get to stay with her family, but she will also continue to mentor women that have been sexually exploited making a change and impact in our community.

Her husband, Alex, and three children, Jaz (7), Caleb (5), and Galyah (3) will always be grateful that you helped their family stay together.

With sincere love,

Alex, Jazlynn, Caleb, and Galyah
