Let's Help Chopper Rich!

It's been a year since my brother Rich was diagnosed with heart and lung disease, a result of living with an undiagnosed blood clotting disorder called factor V leiden. Rich has been through a lot, and in truth, it's a real miracle that he's still alive. He's had several blood clots over time and somehow his body has managed to fight them.

My brother is important to me, he's important to quite a few people. He has an 8 year old son who needs him and looks up to him, he has an amazing woman that loves him dearly and works 2 jobs to help support him, he's got a mom and dad that love him to the moon and back, and he has an amazing family and wonderful friends.

Rich will eventually need a heart and lung transplant, in the meantime he's on medicinal therapy to keep him going. There's alot that he can't do, he looks healthy, but on the inside he's got a pair of lungs working at 50% and a heart that's got an angry left side. He's been fighting social security disability for almost a year, it's obvious to anyone that knows him that he's no longer capable of working. Rich struggles daily, something as simple as getting out of bed, putting on socks or walking from one end of the house to the other have all become difficult tasks for Rich. He continues to visit the heart specialist every few months and will be visiting a heart therapist in the near future to discuss alternative treatments.

Rich needs help, he doesn't ask for help and he probably never will, so that's why I'm asking for him.

Funds will help Rich pay for day-to-day living expenses, medication and major medical bills.
