Baby Chamby's Open Heart Surgery

On March 16th, 2018, Chamby was born in Davao, Philippines, to a couple who was told they couldn't have children. On March 24th, during a checkup, the doctor heard a murmur inside her heart and later confirmed that she has a Congenital Heart Disease.
She originally had two holes in her heart, an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD). After four months, the ASD managed to close on its own. However, the VSD, which is still open, is on an extremely sensitive location near a valve. After six months, the doctors noticed a leakage of blood from the valve with every heart beat. The current estimation is that Chamby has a 27% damage rate to her heart. If left untreated, the valve would need a replacement; but unfortunately, there are no artificial valves for babies like Chamby. Because of this, the heart specialists have advised for an open heart surgery as soon as possible.
The cost of this surgery, along with the hospital stay and other medical requirements, is estimated between 800,000 and 1,200,000 Philippine Pesos (roughly between 20,000 and 25,000 USD). In countries like the USA, medical treatment is given regardless of whether or not the patient can pay for it. This is especially true in a life threatening situation. Unfortunately in many countries, such as the Philippines, medical treatment is not given until payment is made, even if the situation is life threatening like Chamby's.
Her family is not sure of how they can reach this amount of money in the little time they have, but they are not losing hope. They are knocking on your kind heart to help in any possible way.
