Starvation in Isolated African Villages#COVID19

Donation protected
Our mission:
1 man from Switzerland infected Liberia. On the 3rd day, there were 3 confirmed cases. This trend in Liberia is a representation of how fast coronavirus has and will continue to spread in Africa. According to the world health organization, there are 7,341 current confirmed cases of coronavirus in 45 African countries. The inadequate healthcare and food accessibility are amongst the many concerns that have risen out of the virus crisis. As the virus continues to spread, more vulnerable people are left without support for survival. In fact, due to the delicacy of many African economies, the proximity of people in large cities like Lagos, Nigeria is a vital part of survival.  As shutdowns permeate throughout the continent, more vulnerable people are left without basic necessities. And that is exactly why we are asking for your help!

 So who are we?:
We are two first-year Nigerian and Ghanian students at Emory University who want to empower our people. As African youths, we hear devastating stories from families back home of Corona. No longer will we stand to witness our people suffer. Instead, we want to create a network of support that allocates resources to our people in this dire time. If we blatantly ignore countries whose voices have been suppressed, then are we better than the 2 top french doctors who used degrading polemical statements to suggest that COVID-19 vaccines should be tested on “poor Africans”?

How are we Helping:
We have sought out Global African hunger organizations, family members, and church organizations who are helping closely with Nigerian and Ghanaian rural Villages. Additionally, we are working with nuns and community leaders who run orphanages and charities in local cities, towns, and villages. As we gain more donations, we will continue to spread our reach to other regions on the continent, specifically South Africa, Uganda, Liberia, Somalia, and etc.    $7,000 USD=2 MILLION NAIRA  Boxes Indomie = 6,000 Naira Cows =250,000 Naira  Rice =30,000 Naira Beans =25,000 Naira Can tomatoes = 15,000 Maggi cubes = 10,000 Bags of crayfish =100,000 Naira Peanut oil= 9,000

What we know: Citizens in African nations are tenable and will fight the ongoing hunger crisis produced by the virus if garnered with support.  We urge you all to support those who are vulnerable and unheard by donating.  Together, we can all fight for the 1.2 billion people on the continent of Africa, whose lives are at stake. As we all know, the most urgent necessity is food. If people do not have access to food and basic necessities, they will open back businesses and thus increase the likelihood of the virus spreading.  African lives are at risk and we need your support.  Statements: “The high-income countries that bear much of the healthcare costs in Africa are confronted with the COVID-19 fight themselves.”   “once the cases escalate, even the best of systems will be overwhelmed. And this pandemic will never end if we cannot root out all of the infections it causes, even in the poorest of countries.” “We do not need your sympathy. We need your support.” https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2020/04/africa-covid-19-time-bomb-defuse/ “We do not need your sympathy. We need your support.”

How can you help:
This is an international effort! We need your help! If you are quarantined, at home or even remotely fortunate and want to help, we have the resources, team, and access directly on the continent to affect the most vulnerable people. There are many various countries on the African continent that will be affected as the virus spread. As people born on the continent, our own cultural relativism allows us to better deliver the help without any pre-conceived stereotypes, and generalization on the people. Please donate, share, be ambassadors and leaders. We are tired of letting the world speak for Africa. With you, we raise our voice. There is no longer tomorrow, we are the central relief of today.  “Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.”

We are creating a foundation!!!
We hope to combat this immediate hunger with our relief team as they visit and discern preventive measures to combat these problems. As we continue to work in various villages, we want a formal outlet to create sustainable long term solutions.
