Help Harold Go On the Beach

Hello everyone, allow me to introduce myself, my name is Harold and I have been quadriplegic for about 23 years due to a diving injury. On that fateful day, I sustained spinal cord injury. That trauma left me paralyzed from the chest down. I have managed to rebuild my life and be productive with my limitations but there are some things that just need a little extra help to overcome.

I have been unable to access the beach or extremely uneven rough outdoor surfaces on my own. Since, I use a power wheelchair it tends to get stuck in the sand and I have had to just forego going on the beach and watch from afar, as people enjoy their summer days on the Jersey Shore for the past 23 years.

Well it turns out the technology has finally arrived that will help my access the beach on my own. They have introduced a Power Wheelchair that overcomes the outdoors with ease. Its call a Trackmaster and it applies the principle of tracks to move around, similar to a tank. Below you can see an overview of its features..

Unfortunately, it is not covered by my insurance because, it is viewed as recreational. So now, I have the chance to hit the beach but there is a small matter of $13000 standing between me and getting on the beach. The Trackmaster cost $13000 and I can't come up with all of it on my own. This is why; I've come here to see if, I can fundraise as much as possible to get one. I hope that after 23 years of not accessing the beach, maybe this will be my year to finally get back on the beach and enjoy what I have not for so long.
