The story of Hamid.
I wanted to share Hamid’s story with you all and hope it touches you and your friends and we can help in this time of need for him and his family.
Hamid El-Mansouri like any of us was working hard to take care of his wife and 2 twin boys and other dependents in Plano, Texas. He worked and sacrificed a lot driving long haul semi/18 wheeler trucks all over the country and weeks at a time may have not seen his family on the road for long periods of time. Like any of us trying to make an honest living and take care of family. At Age of 54, he was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. Shockingly after dealing with that blow he initially had some support from work and had some insurance coverage. Unfortunately, several months later the trucking company he worked for let him go and he was on his own to deal with the mountainous burden of medical bills and supporting multiple dependents…Currently he is supporting a wife and two kids and he also has a mother in law (98 years old) and sister in law who also live in his humble home in East Plano.
Some of us in the local DFW community reached out to some of our friends, contacts to raise some funds to bridge a few of the financial needs to deal with everyday needs such as mortgage, utilities, food and other basic needs. There is some health insurance that has helped with some of the medical bills but as you all know this is very limited help and the bills continue to pile up.
Hamid is still fighting this illness and and is trying his best to keep up his spirit and faith. While some of the funds will help but this is still a drop in the bucket. As we reach out to you please do what you can to donate and understand truly EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS! Financial help is vital as there is truly no income that he is able to bring nor from any other family members.
