Mijn vrienden zeggen me altijd hoeveel geluk ik heb met zo’n lieve moeder.
In het verleden is moms altijd bereid geweest om iemand te helpen zonder daar over hoeven nadenken. Zo hielp ze haar eigen broer om naar de Verenigde Staten te komen
Ze hielp mijn neven & nichten uit de Filipijnen om hun toekomst in Europa op te bouwen
Moms hielp zelfs niet-familieleden uit haar dorp om hun opleiding af te maken.
Als onderwijzeres gelooft moms altijd in onderwijs. Dat is waarom ze hielp wanneer ze maar kon.
Nu heeft moms haar persoonlijke worstelingen altijd voor zichzelf gehouden. ZELFS toen ze meer dan 20 jaar geleden borstkanker kreeg. "Waarom zei u niets?", vroeg ik. "Nou", zei moms dan. "Omdat ik jou of je broer niet wil storen in jullie groei tijdens je tienerjaren"
In maart 2017, wanneer ze van haar welverdiende pensioen geniet, keert moms terug naar de Filipijnen. Of ze nu haar familie helpt. Of haar landgenoten op de Filipijnen motiveert door haar levenservaringen te delen... Zelfs op 74-jarige leeftijd maakt moms nog steeds het verschil!
Moms kampt al jaren met nocturie: ze wordt gedwongen om twee of drie keer per nacht naar het toilet te gaan. De stress die ontstaat door haar gebrek aan slaap, verergert de diabetes van moms.
Begin oktober 2019 hebben artsen moms onderzocht door middel van wat ze een endoscopie noemen. Ze hebben een tumor gevonden in het galblaasgebied. Gelukkig is dit een lichte tumor en kan nog steeds worden verwijderd.
Omdat ze in Kalibo, Aklan woont moet moms naar Manila reizen, waar de operatie rond 19 oktober plaatsvindt.
Wanneer de tumor is verwijderd en moms galblaas problemen zijn opgelost, kan de specialist de nocturie en diabetes van moms verbeteren.
De totale kosten zijn zo'n €5000 EUR. Hierin zit het volgende:
+ De Endoscopie
+ Kosten voor de behandeling
+ Accommodatie
+ Vervoer
+ Dagelijkse behoeften
Moms NOOIT het type geweest dat aandacht trekt. Nog veel minder het type dat om geld vraagt. Echter, moms heeft nèt haar laatste spaargeld uitgegeven en daarom delen we dit bericht met u. Ons doel is € 5000 EUR.

My friends always praised moms telling me how lucky I am for having such a loving mother.
In the past moms has always been willing to help somebody without any second guessing. Whether it was helping her own brother get to the United States
Helping my cousins from the Philippines to build their future in Europe
And even non-relatives from moms' village to finish their education.
As an educator, moms always believed in education. That’s why she helped out whenever she could.
Now moms has always kept her personal struggles for herself. EVEN when she was diagnosed with breast cancer over 20 years ago. “Why not?”, I asked. “Well”, moms would say. “Because I don’t want to bother you or your brother during your teenage years”
In March of 2017, fully deserving of her retirement, moms migrated back to the Philippines. Whether it’s to help her family. Or her fellow Pinoy by sharing her life experience… Even at the age of 74 moms is still contributing.
For years moms has been dealing with nocturia meaning: she’s forced to go to the bathroom two to three times a night. The stress that comes with this lack of sleep worsens moms’ diabetes. At the start of October 2019, doctors have examined moms and they have found lump in the gallbladder area

At the beginning of October 2019, doctors described mothers by means of what they call an endoscopy. They have found a tumor in the gallbladder area. Fortunately, this is a light tumor and can still be removed.
Because they are in Kalibo, Aklan moms must travel to Manila, where the operation takes place around October 19.
When the tumor is removed and maternal gallbladder problems are resolved, the specialist can improve maternal Nocturia and diabetes.
