Update: The Rescue Ambulance is in service, and is on its way with our disaster team to help with Hurricaine Irma relief efforts. In the video below you can see the Rescue Ambulance, 2 response vehicles operated by our team, 2 vehicles of NYRRT & a vehicle of NYSR on their way to Florida.
While we are already operating the Rescue Ambulance, it's not fully paid for, some of the equipment is borrowed, and we'd like to add more features to it, so we still need your donations! Thank you to everyone who has already donated!
Hi, Rabbi Dovid B. Kaplan here. I am the director of Hatzolah EMS of North Jersey. We just contracted to buy an exciting and unique emergency vehicle that will help us save lives and help many people. It's an all-in-one combination Ambulance, Rescue Truck, Command Center, Light Truck & Bariatric Ambulance. It will enable us to save lives in many unique ways.

More info: This is not just another Hatzolah ambulance, but a full scale emergency and chessed truck.
This specialized truck is needed to help with a wide variety of incidents that it will carry specialized equipment for, such as:
motor vehicle accidents, bariatric (overweight) emergencies, providing medical assistance and a command center at large events, fires, or large scale emergencies, vehicle overturns, specialized emergency transports, vehicle extrications, special emergenices similar to Hurricaine Sandy, helping broken down vehicles in dangerous locations such as highways, transports with specialized equipment onboard, emergency lighting at emergencies and events, setting up helicopter landing zones, stabilizing vehicles in accidents, assisting with emergency lockouts of vehicles or homes with people inside, airing out homes after fires or carbon monoxide alarms (after the Fire Department has finished), specialized equipment to cool down firefighters at fire scenes, visiting schools to teach kids about safety, and so forth.
We will respond with this vehicle to provide assistance upon the request of any EMS Service and Fire Department in the North Jersey area, and upon the request of any Hatzolah, Shomrim/Shmira, Chaveirim, or similar organization within a reasonable travel area or North Jersey.
