Help send us to Haiti

After a recent experience at a marriage conference, God reignited the fire not just in our marriage, but in our own relationships with Christ. We were both challenged to realize and pursue whatever dreams God had put in our hearts. So after many heartfelt discussions and prayers about the direction God would have us to go, we both felt God calling us to go on a mission trip in response to the Great commission in Matthew 28. Just days later an opportunity was presented to us to travel to Haiti in February 2014 with a team from our church and another in our community. Although we are willing and thoroughly excited about this opportunity, we do not have the money this trip requires and deposits are due soon. We will need around $2000 each. The trip is around $1800 a person and we have to get passports and immunizations as well. This is an exciting time, but also a time of trust in God's provision and peace as well. Neither of us have ever been on a trip like this, nor have we ever left the country. It is a daunting task, not only because of all that we have to overcome, and all the costs, but we know that God would not call us to this task, without planning to provide provision and resources as well. We will be traveling to Haiti and staying for a week at an orphanage, working as a team planning to help install a water filtration system as well as any other fix-it tasks they need. My hope is that you will please pray for us as we prepare for this trip, and also consider prayerfully if God would have to financially support us as well. Thanks, and God bless!
