Our loving pitbulls surgery bill

Last week, our newly adopted rescue, Haiti, started throwing up while we were in the process of moving. After several visits to the veterenarian, long nights of monitoring her progress, her vomiting and behavior had worsened over the course of one 6 days. After several x-rays of no answers, on the 4th vet visit, they finally found the issue: a foreign object in her intestines. By this day, it was too late for anything else other than an emergency surgery if we wanted to save her.
Our hearts are too big to have said "no" to the life of a dog we just adopted, even if it was beyond our means. With her background of being abused and overbred, we just wanted to give her a happy life.
This fell on an unfortunate time for us as the symptoms occured on the 13th day of Haiti's 15 day waiting period for her pet insurance, which led to them refusing to cover any costs of this surgery... This total has racked up to around $6,100 (I have copies of all receipts for anyone who would like to double check) which we've had to cover completely out of pocket.
We are asking for $5,000 to help us take this sudden financial blow easier. We appreciate any and all donations. As you can imagine, with a recent move, and unexpected vet costs, this has really hit us hard and are hoping for some support from our community.
Haiti is now in recovery and can continue to lead a happy life with us and our other pup, Lexi.
Thank you all!
