Rescue Piggy Needs A Home

Tax deductible

I'm Rhonda Farrell the founder of Bella View Farm Animal Sanctuary

My husband, Greg, and I rescue, rehabilitate, and provide a forever home for special needs baby farm animals (Especially baby goats!)
We take in baby farm animals that are severely handicapped, and provide a forever home and lifelong care for them.

We truly believe that these are the precious ones that deserve a chance. They have struggled to survive, and they more than deserve to be loved and cared for, no matter what the handicap may be!

We recently rescued a 4 month old pot belly pig named Peanut. Peanut was born with a deformed front leg, and thankfully the previous owner reached out to us to help her.
Without hesitation, we made arrangements for Peanut to come home to us here at the sanctuary.
We do not have the proper set up for her, but time was a factor in this case. We were afraid that peanut would end up either somewhere she did not belong, or even worse...on someone's table.

As of now, she is temporarily rooming with the goats in the goat barn. She is being very well looked after, but this is not the ideal situation we would like her to be in. She needs her own area, but most of all, she needs a flat area for her to easily get around.
Our goats are kept on the very hilly side of the farm.

We do have a flat area that would be just perfect for Peanut. It's about a 50 x 100 area, with sun and shade, and easy access to water.

We need to fence this area in with safe fencing for Peanut, and she needs a safe warm house to sleep in that's all her own.
As she is getting older, I worry more about that leg on the hills. She is putting more stress on her good front leg trying to keep her balance.

Our fencing goal is Red Brand Knotted wire 60" x 200' rolls, from our local Tractor Supply. There is also an old run in shed in this area that is in need of a new roof. Our goal is to replace the roof and enclose half of it with a floor (14 x 16 area) for her indoor area. Plenty of room for her to grow and be comfortable. I'm thinking & hoping that o repair and enclose the existing run in shed, may be cheaper than trying to get a shed of that size delivered to us.

I know there will come a time that she will most likely need a prosthetic for that front leg, but either way, a flatter area with no intimidating goats would make her much happier.
