Emergency survival funds for our friend Guy!

Donation protected
Guy is a young, Black, queer, nonbinary rapper and artist living in Vancouver, and managing severe mental health issues driven by lifelong experiences of poverty.

Recently, Guy suffered two concussions and survived a nearly fatal accident, which left their left wrist shattered. Mentally and physically in shock, pain, and trauma, they soon after lost their housing, pushing their situation further into chaos.

Guy is currently in an unstable housing situation. At this time, they are mostly focused on their immediate injury and trauma recovery, though they continue to face barriers such as chronic illness and living as a person with disabilities in a precarious post-Covid-19 economy. Furthermore, the two concussions they suffered recently have exacerbated ongoing issues of mental health and complex trauma. Now is the time for community support.

If we are able to meet immediate basic recovery needs, any additional funds will go to Guy's ongoing search for safer housing in one of the most expensive and class-divided cities in the world.

At this point, Guy does not have consistent or reliable access to basic needs such as food, medical supplies, and medication. Let’s change that.
