Gracie's journey has begun.

Wow this is hard. Where do we start? Ok on 04/04/2018 our seventeen year old daughter Gracie was running a low grade fever. (<101) After a few days my wife said that she was going to take her to her doctor. The doctor examined her and thought that she may have mono. But to be sure he ordered a ultrasound to check for a gallstone. The ultrasound was scheduled for Monday the 9th. On Thursday  the 5th Gracie called her mom from school and said she was having bad pains in her stomach. Her mom picked her up and took her to the ER. Once there they did a CT scan which reveled a 7cm mass. (2.75") roughly a Q ball on her liver. Took her back to her doctor on Friday the 6th and he could not believe the scan. He thought there was a mix up at the ER. This does not happen to a healthy 17 year old child he said. So he sent her for another scan that same day. It came back with the same results. Still in disbelief he had his staff schedule her to go to St Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa Fl. There they did massive bloodwork and scans. Still uncertain with what they where seeing, they ordered a biopsy. Which came back with a very rare form of cancer. The odds of getting this is 1 in 5.000.000.   http://fibrofoundation.org/learn/what-is-fibro/  . Last Monday the 16th she had surgery where they removed 50% of her liver. Treatment is going to be for years to come. One month ago..........................................

Now.........................................................
We are still moving at one day at a time. Financially we are going to need some help with this journey. I'm not very good at asking for help so please note that my wife will probably edit this. But with nowhere else to turn I'm putting my pride to the side. Thank you.
JROTC High school picture....If you're able to make a donation, We would very much appreciate it. If not, please at least share her story and raise awareness of this rare, awful disease. Thank you, in advance, for donations and even more for taking the time to read this.
