My name is Alynthia Curtis and I am the Assistant Principal at Atherton Elementary School. Atherton is located in Houston's high poverty Fifth Ward area.
On Friday, April 6, 2018, the female staff and I are putting together our 3rd Annual Girls and Pearls Day to empower our 300 beautiful, intelligent and talented young ladies. This event will give our young ladies key points on:
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
In the spirit of unity and sisterhood, we would like for all of our girls to wear the same outfit. The outfit will include a t-shirt, tutu, and tights. All tax-deductible monies/donations will be used towards our girls outfits and event activities.
We will be extremely grateful for any donations we receive to help us boost our young ladies self-esteem and their character which can open doors for them in their future.
