Memorial Fund

Hi, my name is Damiana Rodriguez and I am the daughter of the late Gina Dominguez. The reason for this GoFundMe is to help my dad, Fernando, with the mortgage and the many finances my mom left behind. We will only need funds for about two months, just until my boyfriend and I can get out of our apartment lease which ends October 14. After that, all three of us will be able to pick up were my mom unfortunately left off.

My mom was generally the source of income in the house and without her, my dad and I are now in a bit of a struggle to maintain finances. In order to keep up with the bills for two months, we have calculated we need about $5,000. To keep up with the house mortgage, keeping the lights on and having water, we need about $3,000 for 2 months. Then, to keep up with my parent’s credit debt, we need just under $2,000 for 2 months, the total being $5,000.

My mom’s funeral services cost $7500 and if it’s possible my dad and I would very much like to pay back that loan. We understand we might not get anywhere close to achieving our set goal but we thought if we set this up, we wouldn’t be losing money. And I can guarantee that everything will go directly to mortgage and finances.

A little about the events that led up to my mom’s passing:

My mom, Gina, passed August 19, 2017 in the late afternoon. She was only 46 years old and had been battling with extremely high blood pressure and anxiety for a number of years. Although, the cause of death is still unknown, I believe my mom’s passing was due to an overdose of the new blood pressure medication prescribed to her. My mom fell asleep and just never woke up.
