Gifts for Gwennie

Gwennie has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer. Since the tumor was found on April 15, 2013, she has spent more time in the hospital than she has at home with her family. She has undergone several different types of body scans, a biopsy of the tumor, has started chemo, and has had bone marrow and stem cells harvested so far. She has been hospitalized for an infection and for painful sores as a result of the chemo. She still has several rounds of chemo to go, as well as surgery to remove what will be left of the tumor, radiation and immunotherapy. The entire course of treatment is expected to take a minimum of 18 months. Her prognosis is good and she is expected to recover fully after going through all of these treatments.
Gwennie is an 18 month old, ray of sunshine who has brought joy to our family and everyone she meets. She is a strong little girl and has been proving it to us all daily with how she is toughing out all her procedures and treatments. We want nothing more than to help out all we can with paying for the enormous burden of medical bills her parents are facing.
