Our goal was to raise money for Gilbert, my second born son. It was our hope that by hiring an attorney we might be able to get him back into court. Sadly, we were never able to do that. Considering his age was 15 at the time this life changing moment occurred, advocates have fought hard to change laws that will prevent young men from being tried as adults. He will be 33 this year. He will soon have what is called a Youth Offender Parole Hearing (YOPH) which is the result of a law that passed in Jan 2014, (SB260). At this point we have hired a qualified attorney parole attorney to work with him on a plan to prepare him for his YOPH. We appreciate any and all donations that have been made. Please continue to keep him and his upcoming hearing in constant thought and prayer.
