Hi everyone!
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit this page. My main aim in creating this page is to help give Geo and her family support during this difficult time. No matter where we may all be scattered around the globe, I'd like her to be able to see that our thoughts, prayers and wishes are here to help give her strength.
Geo was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (liposarcoma) in July 2013. Since then she has been through numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, several surgeries and months of hospital stays. Her most recent surgery resulted in her getting sepsis and fighting a life-threatening infection where she was given a 50/50 chance to live. Thankfully, she has pulled through and is no longer critical but it will be a long road to recovery ahead.
Geo's mum, Martha, left her home and job in Sydney and has been with her in Munich since her diagnosis.
Throughout Geo's treatment, she has remained positive, vibrant and strong but I know and have witnessed some of her low moments where it all becomes too overwhelming. With the support of her mother, little brother, Andrew, her family and friends and most especially her fiance and her rock, Christian, she has not lost her smile.
To go through all of this and still remain the beautiful and brave person she is, is a testament to her inner strength. Please help to keep her brave, beautiful smile in place while she battles her way through this to a happy, healthy and cancer-free life. A small donation that will help ease the financial burden for her and her family, some encouraging words and maybe something just to make her feel special will go a long way for someone so special so far away from most of those she holds dear.
Finally, if nothing else, please take out of this the reminder to appreciate all the good things in life no matter how simple or small. Each of them is a blessing that often gets taken for granted. Be happy and live life to the fullest!
