Garden City Teachers Need Second Screens!
Teachers need a second screen in order to maintain eye contact with their students while teaching remotely due to the pandemic. As one teacher said, "It is really
hard to teach a kid you can't see!"
Our goal is to provide second screens for 50 Garden City teacher who needs this essential tool at this difficult time. At $115 per monitor, $5750 will achieve that. Even when in person education resumes, some kids will still be learning from home, and the second screen will remain so very important to the classroom teacher. Teachers tell us that the second screen is a game changer for their work with their students. Will you join us in helping a teacher and their students today?
My son Matt Lerner started the Second Screens for Teachers Project in Seattle, Washington, and I am following his lead here in Garden City, a place I came to love while working on the recent documentary film Strangers In Town.
Please donate today to support the Garden City Second Screens for Teachers Project! Your donation goes to the Western Kansas Community Foundation, who will pass it on to the Garden City Public Schools Foundation for the purchase of monitors.
