Our sons Galen (age 7) and Reilly (age 6) have qualified for the 2013 US Kids Golf world championship at Pinehurst NC. Held at the historic home to American golf (and site of the 2014 US Open), this three day tournament is the largest and most prestigious event in the world for players 12
and under, attracting over 1,200 participants
from across the United States and more than 30 countries abroad.
Galen and Reilly have been playing golf since they were 18 months old, swinging plastic clubs in the basement as soon as they could walk. They started hitting real golf balls at driving ranges by the age of 3, and entered their first local kids tournaments at the age of 5. Currently playing out of the Crumpin Fox golf club in Bernardston MA (and as honorary members of the Dunes golf club in Weeki Wachi FL), Galen and Reilly have both stated for the record since they were 4 years old that it is their dream to become professional golfers when they grow up. This is an amazing opportunity for Galen and Reilly to have fun, make new friends, and test their games against the best in the world. It is the kind of experience that could stay with them well into adulthood. We are asking for donations toward making such a family adventure possible.
