Gaby's circle of love

Within moments of first meeting Gaby, it's easy to tell he is a kind, caring soul. He is soft spoken with a gentle demeanor. The last person in the world, one would think, who deserves to have his young life ripped apart.

The nightmare began in January, when this seemingly healthy 34-year old was unexpectedly diagnosed with advanced stage cancer and given just three months to live.

After the initial shock, he immediately thought of his 7-year old daughter, Luna. How will she survive in a hostile world without the support of her loving father? It's an answer-less question that continues to keep him awake at night.

Today, Gaby is fighting for his life.

Through the grace of God and the support of his amazing family, Gaby has outlived his doctor's initial prognosis. He is in the process of receiving Chemotherapy in an effort to eliminate an undiscovered primary tumor.

Every three weeks, Gaby goes to a crowded, underfunded, Costa Rican hospital and is forced to endure two, grueling, 12-hour days hooked up to machines. He then spends the rest of his time battling the effects of the indiscriminate medical poison coursing through his veins.

Gaby now needs your help. Unable to work, he and his family need money for pain medication, specialized food, transportation to and from the hospital, alternative cancer treatments and everyday essentials that most of us probably take for granted.

Gaby has good days and not so good days... But his outlook is incredibly positive and he is fighting with his entire heart to beat this disease in an effort to one day wear the proud title of "cancer survivor."
