Prayers for Gaby Gasca

Our story begins on Dec. 14, 2014 with our daughter Gaby complaining of a tummy ache, we took her to the ER and were told she had a Urinary Tract Infection and was given antibiotics, after another night of pain and her stomach expanding we took her back to ER the next morning (Dec 15, 2014) and they did a CT scan and that's when our world was turned upside down...we were told our daughter had a mass tumor "cancer" that had spread through her abdomen, she was immediately transported to Medical City Children's in Dallas and a few days later (Dec 17th) she had surgery for a biopsy and thank our Lord Jesus the surgeon was able to remove her mass tumor (5cm) and drained 2 1/2 liters of fluid that was leaking from the tumor that caused her tummy to expand. After the results were back from Pathology it was confirmed.. our daughter had Pelvic Rhabdomyosarcoma Stage IV....my heart just stopped...how can this be? This is not true...my daughter, my healthy daughter...Nooooo!  Why? The question that I still ask myself...this is not fair! I was devastated, in shock...all we could do was start chemotherapy immediately a few days later due to Gaby's surgey and she needed to heal a bit. On Dec. 20th she started very aggresive chemo the first week of 51 weeks. Oh my! We're on week 13 as af today (Mar. 21, 2015) and she's had her ups and downs...I would say we're very blessed to have more UPS than downs....she's progressing very well per what her last CT scan showed and I thank GOD for putting his hands over my daught for holding our hands during this tough journey, without God this would be so much harder, all the prayers that are coming are way....we are truly blessed.  This GOFUNDME account was created at the beggining by my brother and sister-in-law and we have recently updated the account to come from me in order to provide all of you with updates.  Let me thank you all for your kind donations, you have no idea how much your donations help us, any amount is helpful... especially now that we're starting to receive all her medical bills and have found out that our insurance does not cover her compound prescriptions, still fighting the insurance over that.  Once again..thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, we truly appreciate it.  If you would like to follow our daughters journey, please visit her page "Prayers for Gaby Gasca" on Facebook.  Please keep praying for our sweet girl Gabriella (Gaby).  God bless you and all your loved ones.
